Dr. Jeff Chang is a Registered Psychologist in Alberta since 1987. His extensive experience includes child and adolescent mental health programs, employee assistance programs, private practice, and teaching at various post-secondary institutions.
Currently, he is a professor in the Master of Counselling Program at Athabasca University. Jeff integrates his practical experience into his teaching, course development, and research.
Beyond Athabasca University, Jeff actively contributes to the field. He serves on the board of Calgary Family Therapy Centre, teaches in their programs, and holds an adjunct position at the University of Calgary.
Clinical supervision is a major focus of his work. He supervises new psychologists toward licensure, developed an online supervision course, and consults to developing supervisors.
Jeff ‘s other area of expertise is high-conflict divorce. He conducts various kinds of assessments in this area, provides therapy to families, and consults to therapists and lawyers.
Despite moving to Calgary in 1986, Jeff maintains his roots in British Columbia and still considers himself a “Vancouver boy,” having grown up in Kitsilano when average-income families could buy a home there.
